Larch Bolete - Suillus grevillei
Larch bolete (Suillus grevillei), also known as elegant bolete, tastes similar to slippery jacks, (Suillus lutens) but it is a milder and has a more vibrant colour. Earthy and mushroomy, they might not be the kind of mushroom you build a dish around but they work well in mushroom medleys or in dishes with rich, strong flavours such as stews where they add an earthy background flavour.
