Dried Balsam
Balsam (Abies balsamea) has a sweet fragrance when it's dried that is similar to spun sugar and a lovely rich flavour that makes it great for tisanes, baking or infusing. The white crystals you might find at the bottom of the bags are the natural sugar that balsam leaves shed when they are dried.
