We are pleased to be able to finally provide fresh wild leeks/Ramps (Allium tricoccum) nation wide. These leeks are sustainably harvested by the Ojibway of the Beausoleil First Nation on Georgian Bay. These wild leeks (ramps) are harvested within 130 Km of Toronto. Our wild leeks come with leaf, bulb and root intact (some bruising on the leaf and some yellowing may occur in transit or as the season progresses. All the wild leeks we sell are harvested using progressive methods. We actively seed spread and plant bulbs and roots as well as introduce wild leeks to new forests, or places they are being lost.
We also work with the media to push the idea that a 5% harvest only works on private land and that picking 5% on public or crown land can lead to overlapping foragers taking more then is sustainable. Don't be shy to ask foragers exactly where and how many lb/s of wild leeks they pick.
You can find our wild leeks at farmers markets around Toronto and through select green delivery services.
$16 per pound + shipping
Orders of fresh products will only be honoured with FedEx Ground service selected as a shipping option.
Please note that shipping fresh items from Ontario to either coast can be overly expensive. However bulk orders of any fresh items (25 lbs+) we can reduce the price and shipping costs.
