Haskap Syrup
Haskap is the berry of the blue honeysuckle plant, Lonicera caerulea. We offer both a compote and this syrup made from one of the few non-native foods we carry. While there are many North American honeysuckle varieties, very few are edible and edible varieties are considered at risk or endangered. The north Asian variety, however, thrives here. Taste its grape-blueberry-raspberry flavour and we think you'll agree we're right to carry it.
Try Haskap syrup drizzled on a wheel of brie and baked, or pour some over your yogurt and muesli. You can also use in it place of grenadine syrup in a cocktail, especially those with rum. Haskap syrup makes a Hurricane taste even better.
